An industrial and economic carbonylation of amines with carbon monoxide and sulfur has been developed for the synthesis of S-alkyl thiocarbamate herbicides. In the presence of potassium carbonate and solvent DMSO, S-alkyl thiocarbamates, such as thiobencarb and orbencarb (herbicides) are synthesized in excellent yields from amines, carbon monoxide, sulfur, and alkyl halides under mild conditions (1 atm, 20 °C). 相似文献

A new simple and efficient methodology for reductive sulfur extrusion from 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole compounds has been developed using NaBH4 in the presence of catalytic amounts of CoCl2·6H2O (1 mol %). This method is an efficient alternative for the generation of various 1,4-disubstituted-2,3-diaminobenzene derivatives from 4,7-disubstituted-2,1,3-benzothiadiazoles. Poly(2,5-dimethylphenylene sulfide) was prepared by oxidative polymerization of sulfur chloride with p-xylene using 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-p-benzoquinone (DDQ) as an oxidizing agent. The reaction proceeded efficiently under atmospheric pressure and at room temperature. The polymer formed had a high melting temperature and linear structure which was confirmed by spectroscopies.
